Japan Colors are finely ground, lead free, flat, quick drying, paste colors. This traditional product has a wide range of graphic and professional artist uses. They are used by sign painters as a fine lettering paint when a flat finish is desired. Also used for a variety of decorative applications such as lettering, striping, faux finishes stenciling or for making glazes and stains for antiquing or graining. Used extensively by specialty painters and scenic artists for aging and glazing. They are ideal toners for flat paints and may be added to oil based gloss paints to create a semi-gloss finish. Dry Time: @700 F; 50% Relative Humidity. Dries to touch - 1 hour; to handle: 2 hours; to recoat -8hours, full cure - 24 hours. May take longer to dry under humid conditions.
